Wastewater-free AND waste minimization
Korrotherm vacuum evaporators are continuously developed. Not only is special attention paid to the economic and sustainable operation of the plants, but also to changing disposal routes and options for recovering valuable materials.
The KORRODEST ZLD is an ideal addition to our well-known evaporator series, which often reduce the resulting disposal volume by up to 95%. However, the resulting concentrates can be further reduced by means of intelligent evaporator technology, by concentrating them again through an evaporative stage downstream of the overall process.
The concentrates already produced are significantly reduced in volume in the ZLD, approaching the saturation limit of the medium. The resulting concentrate is characterized by a maximum dry substance content.
Sustainable and Economical
By integrating into existing operational heating systems, such as combined heat and power generation, outstandingly low operating costs are ensured. Of course, Korrodest ZLD is also available with proven heat pump technology as low-temperature vacuum evaporators.
Nearly unlimited applications are thus ensured by the wide range of available plant options.
Reliable Operation
By implementing a consistent system separation between waste and energy source, "design and usage-related" wear and tear is already excluded from the concept. This is further supported by the use of highly alloyed special stainless steels or even TITAN.
Chloride-containing media therefore do not pose an application obstacle, and the need for pre-treatment neutralization steps, which are usually required for other, particularly so-called "high-temperature evaporator systems", can be eliminated.
The wastewater stream to be treated is heated via the jacket surface of the boiling vessel in our KORRDEST ZLD series. To keep forming salt crystals that impair efficiency in solution, the reaction vessel is equipped with an integrated stirring and scraping device "SCRAPER".
Usually, the produced concentrate is discharged directly into a provided IBC container, and wear-prone transfer pumps are not required.
